The rescue of King Nanda from a serpent in Ambika Vana and the redemption of a Vidyadhara named Sudarshan

Sri Narada says:- King! Once Vrishbhanu, Upanand and other Gopas were riding on bullock carts filled the precious gems reached Ambika forest. There they ritualistically worshipped Goddess Bhadrakali and Lord Pasupathi(Siva) and donated many riches to the Brahmanas and decided to rest overnight on the banks of the Saraswati river. In the darkness of the night, a serpent came out and caught hold of Nand's feet. Nand got scared, and with great anguish started calling out, "Krishna, Krishna". At the same time, the cowherds began beating the serpent with torched wooden logs. Even then, the serpent did not release Nand just as a cobra does not give up its pearl. Then Bhagawan Krishna, the Savior of the universe, stamped His lotus feet on the serpent. Immediately the serpent was released from its reptilian body and got the form of a demigod named Sudarshan. He circumambulated Sri Krishna and offered salutations with folded hands and said thus.

Sudarshan said:- Lord! My name is Sudarshan and I am the head of Vidhyadharas (a type of demigods endowed with supernatural powers). I was very proud of my strength and I humiliated the great sage, Ashtavakra upon seeing him. Then he cursed me by saying " Ill-mannered one! You become a snake". Madhav! With Your grace, I have been freed from the curse. By the touch of the nectar of your lotus feet, I have once again attained my original divine position. Many many salutations to You, who has incarnated to relieve the miseries on this earth.

Sri Narada says:- King in this manner after paying obeisance to Lord Sri Krishna, that demigod went away to his heavenly abode after being relieved of all difficulties. At that time, all the cowherds were awe-struck to realize that Sri Krishna was the Supreme God. Then all of them quickly returned to Vrajmandal. Thus, I have described the auspicious history of Sri Krishna to you, which bestows good fortune and cleanses away all sins. Now, what else do you want to hear?

Bahulashwa said:- Oh! The history of Sri Krishna is most wonderful! Having heard this, I want to hear more! Godly saint! Please tell me what other pastimes were performed in Vrajmandal by the supreme Lord Sri Hari?
